Some say that the spirit of rock and roll has died, that its essence no longer flows through the veins of youth and old alike. Some credit the grunge scene of the early 1990's and some credit the oversaturation of copycat bands of the late 1980's while some believe its just another marketing tool just like everything else. Middle Finger Mob believes none of those, and is here to prove it. Formend in early 2009, 5 friends came together with an undying love for this sound we call rock and roll. From its songs of untamed lifestyles and heartbreaks to its catchy riffs and stylish solos, rock and roll has captured the hearts of the individuals of Middle Finger Mob without a doubt. Shawn Smash, Freekshow, Danny "Boy" Virus, D.J Cruise and Lenka Danger all have one thing in common, and thats a love and passion for music.
Building off of personal experiences, their songs and sounds are a reflection of their lives around them, from the harrowing tales of junkie life in Hollywood in songs like "Doing Time" dealing with issues of seeing friends turn into lost souls almost overnight and getting consumend by the excess of big city life!!! Or "Save a Place in Heaven" written for good friend of the band "Traci Michaels" who sadly passed away last June in a hotel room while on tour in Dallas, TX.
Middle Finger Mob takes it all in with one breath......
Their live shows pack more punch than a one legged man in an ass kickin contest!!! Few guitarists can burn their sound into your brain like Shawn Smash can, from his memorable hooks and fast melodic solo's, the song writing and lead guitar hits you in the chest with more force than most natural disasters!!! Freekshow turns his voice into an instrument and pours out his heart with melody and passion that touch the very depths of your soul, not to mention his high energy performance live!!! D.J Cruise keeps the bass driving and locks in perfectly along side Danny "Boy" Virus whose rock solid powerhouse drumming is often imitated but never duplicated!!! And last but not least Lenka Danger delivering her smooth charismatic vocals and sexy stage presense making Middle Finger Mob's live shows pack more action than a Tijuana donkey show or a 1956 Elvis concert!!! : )
A definate force to be reckoned with!!! Middle Finger Mob has many things to say and accomplish in the world of music, and they are playing by nobody's rules but their own!!!
