- 2003 was the year when four forces from the Austrian underground united to create an aggressive and extreme, yet catchy and recognizable mixture of Death and Thrash Metal: GODDAMNED X was born! The release of their debut recording Marching Through The Inferno in September 2004 was received with enthusiasm by both press and metalheads and after nailing their vision of Death Metal on record, the quartet entered the stage with Behemoth, Crowbar, Illdisposed, Dismember, Dissection, In Battle, Benediction and many others. Throughout these gigs Goddamned X proofed a certain attitude on stage which got them the reputation of being the incarnation of RocknRoll in Death Metals clothing DeathnRoll. In 2006 - besides playing various festivals Goddamned X recorded their second album entitled The Art Of Closing Eyes, which shows the development of the band: partially more brutal and complex, but also even more back to the roots of early Death Metal. September 2006 Georg Hauser was not able play the shows of the Blitzkrieg 4 Tour with Vader, God Dethroned and Severe Torture, but Michael Gassebner (Lost Dreams) helped out. February 2007 Georg finally left the band and was replaced by Franz Löchinger (ex-Vanitas). See www.goddamnedx.com for more infos!
