How did you find out about pantera

about 4/5 years ago.. I don't really remember how but i downloaded Message in Blood and i loved it so much i was like man this shit is great i need to get some more songs! hah

I was 12 and my brother (who is 15 years older than me) was listening to Clash With Reality and since then I loved them

well i heard about dime
when he passed and i always heard about pantera but i was too much into the punk scene at the time to really pay attention
then i met this guy evan and were best friends now but he was always listening to them so i downloaded a few song about 4 years ago and fell in love
then i got pissed when i found out the actual year dime was taken and got pissed becasue i could have had the chance to see pantera or damage plan
i always say that i found my love for metal to way late in life.

I got into Pantera just after Vulgar Display of Power came out. 92 or 93, a friend of mine had picked up CFH and i loved it, went out the next day and bought Vulgar and i was totally hooked.

when i first started listening to metal i somehow had their name in my mind but without ever listening to a single son ...but i was convinced i'd like 'em...then vulgar came in through my stereo and i got PANTERARIZED beyond fucking EVER!!!!

I was diggin' through my dad's CD's and found Cowboys From Hell. I thought the name was bad ass so I popped it in. The album was flawless and I've been Hooked Since.

I first met Dime in high school at Arlington High School in 1984. Pantera was bad ass then (they don't like to talk about the spandex days though). In 1987 I had a keg (multi keg) party at my house and Pantera played at it (mostly for the beer). I don't even remember if they charged us or not, but I don't think they did. I have been a Pantera fan ever since. I saw them play at Joe's Garage in Ft. Worth, and at The Basement many times. It was really cool seeing them in clubs. I was shocked when I heard about Dime...I didn't even goto work that day!. Well, I just wanted to wish Vinnie and Rita my true condolences.

actually, i was 9 years old.
i dont know if yall remember ''beavis and butthead'' on much music(in canada) and MTV ,the show had music videos.
and the boys were sittin on their couch watchin vids and ''IM BROKEN'' came on!!
when i first heard that riff i was fuckin hooked!!!
and will always be greatful to have seen them live.
each and every cold one i drink will always be in dimes honor.

The year Far Beyond Driven came out I was walking by a friend of mine in the halls at school. He was bobbing his head away and barely noticed when I walked up to him. "Watcha listening to dude?", I asked. "The new Pantera album.", he says. Not knowing who they were at all, I asked if I could listen to a little. I believe the song was 5 Minutes Alone, because that is still one of my all time favorites to this day!

I was probally 15, I was in one of my friends older brother's truck out side of a "Crystals" at probally 2 in the morning "Drunk as hell" and i see this c.d. with a guy getting punched in the face. it was the Volger Display of Power c.d. so i pop it in and i hear the angels from heaven in my ears... lol..... From the 1st riff i hear Dime bust into i was hooked. then i went out and got all the c.d's that where out and i continued to do so everytime another came out ... I even got Dime tated on me.. Much love Dime, We miss ya Brother !!!

My cousin gave me a Cowboys From Hell tape and a joint and said, "Here. These go together." The rest...is history. :) Nah, man, for real, this band got me through junior high, high school, and college. I wouldn't trade any of my Pantera merch for the world! For real!!! I was about twelve years old when I started listening and got totally addicted right off the bat! Baddest band EVER! I'm teaching my little brother the same way. Live, love THRASH!!!
